NLW 2022 Molly Shannon

April 3-9, 2022 is National Library Week!  This year's theme is Connect with Your Library, and we hope you'll take that as a sign that you need to stop by for a visit.  We've planned a few extras for the week -- check it out!

BOOK DISPLAY
Grab a picture book, novel, or nonfiction title that features libraries!  You'll find them on display in the last bookcase along the starred hallway that leads to the Youth Program Room.

FAMILY NIGHT
Drop by the Library Plaza on Monday, April 4 at 6 p.m. for Family Night-Connect with Your Library.  There will be games and crafts.  No registration is required.

WINNERS
Our Newbery Reading Challenge, which began in January, will end with a prize drawing each day, April 4-9.  Winners will receive a prize pack -- three paperback Newbery books with a commemorative bag and sticker.

ICE CREAM OUTING
Adults who love kid lit are invited to a KJ's Reader Getaway on Tuesday, April 5 at 4 p.m.  Join Miss Katie Jane at Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe for a tasty treat and delicious book talks.  No registration is required.

WEEKEND STORYTIME
We're having another Storytime Surprise on Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m.  The storyteller, theme, and big play feature is a surprise!  What a fun way to end National Library Week!  No registration is required.  Follow the stars to the Youth Program Room.

S.T.E.A.M. PACKS
Drop by the Kid Zone beginning Monday, April 4 to grab a S.T.E.A.M. pick-up pack assembled by Miss Katie Jane.  Each bag includes instructions and supplies for four hands-on activities featuring Creepy Crawlies -- roll a beetle dice game, beaded pipe cleaner caterpillars, band-aid butterflies, and creepy crawly yoga.  This is the final S.T.E.A.M. pack of the storytime season.  100 bags, while supplies last.
