Since 1955, Harold the Purple Crayon as been inspiring imagination. It even inspired a movie, which will debut in June 2023. But the library can't wait that long, so we're hosting our Purple Crayon Party this Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone will get their own jumbo purple crayon to take on their journey! Complete a drawing with Harold in a draw-as-you-go scavenger hunt. Take advantage of the large sheets of paper throughout the Kid Zone to draw whatever you dream up. Immerse yourself in a book shelf obstacle course, encountering some of the same troubles that Harold has on his imaginative journey. Play a wacky game of crayon balloon battle. Catch an animated adaptation of the classic book by Crockett Johnson. There's no need to register if you want to embark on this purple crayon adventure. Simply follow the stars . . . and your imagination.
