Votes for Women

Miss Emma is going to teach everyone about the Women's Suffrage Movement in the next Homeschool Hub, and she's going to do it in a really cool way.  You know what escape rooms are, right?  Well, this is a lot like that.  You'll solve a series of puzzle challenges to get all the info you need.  Once you've completed each station, you'll receive a reward for your hard work -- a Vote for Women button.  We have to keep each session a bit smaller than usual, which is why there are two time offerings.  Choose which Women's History Month Puzzle Mania is best for you -- Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1 pm or 2:15 pm --  then register online or by phone (205-444-7830).

Of course, the Suffrage Movement is just a small part of Women's History Month.  If you want to learn even more about the female contribution to history, check out our WHM book display in the Kid Zone.  You can also follow our daily social media posts throughout the month of March.  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will post to the feed.  Tuesday and Thursday will be in the stories.  (As a Facebook novice, I don't exactly know what that means.  But I've been assured that YOU will.)  And you can ALWAYS ask a librarian to help you find the perfect title.
