Perfect Bathroom Pair

Perfect Pair of Bathroom Picture Books

I hope you enjoy this short series about new books that pair perfectly.

I'm Terrified of Bath Time by Simon Rich (04/05/22)
This cute and imaginative story personifies the bathtub by making eyes of the hot and cold handles, nose of the faucet, and ears of the shower head. The bathtub speaks to the painful life it experiences each night it hears those famous words, "It's time for your bath."

Lou by Breanna Carzoo (07/12/22)
Meet Lou. Lou has an important job . . . as the neighborhood toilet for dogs on their walks.  Useful as he may be, he gets the feeling that deep down inside, there might be more to him than that. He just doesn’t seem to know exactly what yet.  When disaster strikes, will Lou find out what he’s made of and save the day?

Aaron Slater's Big Project Book for Astonishing Artists

Aaron Slater's Big Project Book for Astonishing Artists

Andrea Beaty's popular The Questioneers series has a new book out!  It is the latest in the spin-off series filled with hands-on activities inspired by the characters and their passions.  If you love the books, make sure you take a look at the display in the picture book room the next time you're in the library.  Mr Justin did an amazing job!

Aaron Slater's Big Project Book for Astonishing Artists (10/25/22-ON ORDER)
Aaron Slater shows readers how art is everywhere in our world—from the famous paintings and photographs that we know so well to places you may not think as much about, like on stamps or coins—and encourages them to make art of their own based on what they see. Activities will help to spark creativity, encourage curiosity, and show some of the traits most important to being an artist: being observant, being persistent, and being flexible. From coloring pages to drawing prompts to instructions on how to make your very own puppet show and so much more, this project book encourages and uplifts the youngest artists and the creators of tomorrow.
